The Gibbon Bridge Wedding Open Day - A Day In The Life...

September 22, 2019

Now that "Wedding Season" is coming to a close "Wedding Fair Season" has started to blossom! Today was spent at the beautiful Gibbon Bridge with all these lovely, lovely suppliers - it was also great to meet and chat to so many happy new couples too. Here's a little insight in to our day...

It was a rainy, early start getting the PA kit into my car between thunder storms this morning whilst still in my pyjamas!! You always know it must be a Wedding Open Day if you've got a full face of make up and your best dress on by 10am!! I'm lucky as a musician - I always think about the florists and cake makers who have an unbelievable amount of preparation for an open day before they even arrive at the venue!! A quick "idiot" check, a quick cup-of-tea and then in the car and off to the venue!

I arrived at The Gibbon Bridge around 11am to meet up with Adam and set up all our gear - it was also lovely to say hello to everyone too! All us suppliers get to know each other really well as we spend so many weekends working with each other. The Gibbon Bridge also feels like home - Phillip, Edward and Janet make us feel so welcome every time. Despite the torrential rain - the gardens still look beautiful!

Today Adam & I got the pleasure of sharing the room with all these talented people... here's a bit more information on how they can make your wedding day just the way you want it!

Today's wedding fair was open between 12 - 3pm. If you are tying the knot and don't know where to start with all your planning - a wedding fair or an open day is a great way to gather LOADS of ideas and chat with recommended suppliers! My top tips are to leave your details with any supplier that catches your eye, pick up ALL the leaflets, ask all the questions you want and take the time to look around everyones website. Every supplier, venue, singer, photographer, cake maker, toastmaster has their own style and there will be the perfect package and offer out there for you! We are all here to help and love planning your day with you! The only problem is... you might just end up with too many ideas!!

Finally I land back home and get cosy! Time to get in touch with all the brides-to-be who left their contact details.
